You're managing. You're just not sure for how much longer.
Anxiety, burnout, grief, or something older that still decides how you react today. This is counselling for the part of you that has been holding it all together — trauma-informed, at your pace, with EMDR available when it helps.
You're in the right place if…
- You get through the day, but the nights are long.
- You have told this story before and nothing changed.
- Something from years ago still decides how you react today.
- You are anxious about things you know are not dangerous.
- You are grieving something everyone else seems to have moved past.
- You have been the strong one so long you are not sure who you are without it.
None of these exactly? That's fine. Bring whatever you've got to the free fifteen minutes and we'll work out together whether this is the right room for it.
What working together looks like
No mystery, no long intake process. Four steps, and you can stop at any of them.
01
A free fifteen minutes
We talk. You ask whatever you need to. No intake forms, no charge, no obligation — and if I am not the right person, I will say so and point you somewhere better.
02
A first session
What brought you here, what you would like to be different, and what has already been tried. We leave with a plan we both actually agree on.
03
The work
Weekly to start, then spaced out as things steady. Paced by you — we do not go anywhere you are not ready to go.
04
Checking in
Every few sessions we step back: what is shifting, what is not, what should change. Knowing when to finish is part of the work.
How I work
Trauma-informed means we go at your speed — and only where you decide to go.
I draw on attachment work, and I pay attention to what’s happening in your body as much as what you’re saying. Nothing is forced open. You’ll never be handed a worksheet in place of a conversation, and you’ll always know why we’re doing what we’re doing.
If a memory is still running the show, EMDR is available — but it’s an option we’d choose together, not a default.

Questions people ask first
Is this counselling or coaching?
Counselling. We work with what hurts and why it keeps happening. Coaching is forward-facing and goal-driven — if that turns out to be what you want, I do that too, and we can move between them.
How long will I need to come?
Usually weekly to begin with, then further apart as things settle. Some people come for six sessions, some for a year. We review it out loud every few sessions so it is never open-ended by accident.
What is EMDR, and would I have to do it?
EMDR is a structured way of helping the brain finish processing a memory that still feels present. It is one option among several, offered when it fits, and never something you will be pushed into.
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes — in person in Calgary, or online anywhere in Canada. Plenty of people do a mix, especially in winter.
What does it cost, and do I need a referral?
No referral needed. Current fees are on the About page, and many extended health plans cover a Canadian Certified Counsellor — worth checking before we start.
The hardest part is the first fifteen minutes.
And they're free. We'll talk, and by the end we'll both know whether I'm the right fit for what you're carrying — and if I'm not, I'll tell you who is.
