My team

I only refer people to someone I'd see myself.

For years Clearview was just me. But I wanted to build something one practitioner can't be — more specialties, more approaches, more open evenings — so I brought in people who are better at parts of this work than I am.

Start with whichever of us feels right.

Every first conversation here works the same way: fifteen minutes, free, with the person you'd like to work with — me or any of my associates. By the end of it, you'll both know whether it's a fit.

And if you're not sure who to ask for, start with me. I know what everyone here is best at, and I'll introduce you directly — you won't be handed to a waiting list.

Nobody on my team does that yet — which usually means I still do it myself.

Every associate is independently registered, carries their own insurance, and issues their own receipts. What we share is one intake standard, ongoing supervision, and the sentence at the top of this page.

How I choose who works here

I've turned down more applicants than I've hired. Everyone I interview arrives qualified — that's the floor, and it's a high one. These four things are the decision.

  1. I'd send my own family

The only test that matters. If I'd hesitate before referring someone I love, the answer is no — however good the résumé is.

  2. They can say "I don't know"

Certainty is easy to perform and dangerous in this room. I want people who name the limits of what they can help with, out loud, early.

  3. Trauma-informed in practice, not on paper

Anyone can list the training. I watch how they talk about clients when the client isn't there — that's where you find out.

  4. They're still learning something

Everyone here is in supervision, myself included. A practitioner who stopped being curious a decade ago is a practitioner running on memory.

What doesn't change

A practice getting bigger is only good news if none of this gets worse. So it doesn't.

  • I take every first conversation myself.
  • The free fifteen minutes stays free.
  • Fees are the same whoever you see.
  • Your notes never move between practitioners without you.
  • You can change who you see, without an awkward conversation.
  • If none of us is right, I'll tell you who is.

Not sure who you should be talking to?

That's my job, not yours. Take the free fifteen minutes with me and I'll point you at the right person.
